If I had been going out and about this stay-at-home would be uncomfortable. I have been home for years so it doesn’t bother me. My husband passed in latter March after 57 yrs of marriage,he just fell over from heart issues. My girls and I have to prepare for a tribute to him that consisted of 30 persons. I fractured my hip on December 25th and rehabbed for 50 days. Home Health Care came to my home after my rehab stay. And I have not been able to return for more rehab at the facility due to the virus. So,I am still stuck at home. I am humble by all my experiences.

#27 This is the last Place I Thought The Virus Would Spread
Because it is recommended that she stay in place due to high risk symptoms. She says that her illnesse has limited her movement for years. Isolation has been her issue. However, she would take a trip to the closet Nursing facility to visit her Mother. Now, she speaks to her Mother by phone only. I suggested that she call the facility to inquire if the virus has spread there. She has had a list of her church members succumb to the virus. She named them one by one. This is the last place, I thought the virus would spread!
Pandemic affect
It has caused an enormous amount of stress for me in many ways. And has impacted the lifes of my family and myself. with the schools being closed, Ive been forced to cut hours at work. Which has created another problem. (Financially ) I have also notice my utilities has gone up significantly due to the stay in home order. The kids are are not fully engaging into virtual learning. Most kids are hands on learners and are used to school like environments. witnessing my children which are a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grader confined has been quite overwhelming for the whole entire family. And being a single parent has only added extra stress.
The Uncertainty
The end of February when we (our country) realized that we needed to get what we need because the world as we know it was beginning to be wash away and the expectation of what to come was uncertain I was prepared on how to get purchase what is needed somewhat because I live in a hurricane state but the adjustment of this new life is challenging because we dont know what to become of the new world
Living through coronavirus
The corona virus has impacted my life through numerous ways:1. I have had to complete my internship remotely2. My aunt became infected with the corona virus, which stressed my family out in the beginning but now we are relying heavily on faith3. I have had to cautious about where I travel and my surrounding because my dad is at risk of catching the corona virus4. I haven’t seen my baby nephew in a month because he is also at risk for catching the corona virus5. I have had walk the bridge for exercise due to the gym being closed6. I am constantly sanitizing my hands to reduce risk
#16 No vaccine
It’s getting adjusted to staying home that bothers me .I go to the gym daily, enjoyed attending church and senior activites w/field trips. The lonliness is driving me crazy at 76 years of age.But it is for the safety and good of the community. The streets are empty and I love walking but I will remain safe in my house, The only place that I must go ; is to get grocery for only me. Florida is heavily populated with Seniors and the Governor should have made the rules more stricter sooner. Because, there is no vaccine.

My daughter is a Nurse with the Health Department. She told me much earlier about there would be a demanding need for facial protection. I am a seamtress. It gives me great joy and peace ….making sure that all healthcare workers and those in the community are not exposed to the virus through facial masking. A strong enough effort should have been imposed for safety/protection sooner than Now! I have a cousin and her spouse living in Detriot who beat the Corona Virus. I am thankful!
#17 The people are being disobedient
The government has been leading the way. It is the citizens not using their common sense to adhere to the rules and laws of the land. The people are being disobedient. The church has been open exposing the elderly population to the virus. I have an aide that come to my home 4 days e week to continuously assist me with my personal
I WAS A DRUM MAJOR
The virus has alot of fear in it, You just do not know who has it and who doesn’t have it. I have never been exposed to fear on this level. The only thing I feared was the 25 yd dash as a runner in high school. Other than that,I ran the 50 and 100 yd dash with ease. The leaders have done all they can to help prevent the spread of this frightening virus, But it is the people who do not care that are not following the rules set forth by our local, state lawmakers. I was a drum major in my high school band and I traveled all over Florida representing my school never, ever contracted anything that would compromise my immune system. I continue to pray that this is over soon. I will be 86 yrs of age on my next 2021 brithday.
Cherishing Life of Yesterday While Living The New Norm
My oldest living relative is my Great Aunt Eleanor who is 104. She has seen so much in her life. Her mom had a sister in the early 1900’s who died from the Spanish Flu and her father and sister also had this. The doctor told her mom that she could only save one and that the baby would die. Thankfully the baby (my grandmother) survived. Eleanor still lives independently and is normally very capable, however recently she fell and broke her wrist and ribs. After coming out of rehab she needed help at home. This was the same time that the Coronavirus started. The facility where she lives has gotten increasing tighter on who can and can’t enter. I was helping her get her mail, shower, do laundry, get dressed, among other things. Due to the Coronavirus, I now have to use hand sanitizer, fill out a questionnaire, and have my temperature taken to enter the facility. Just the other day I heard that someone at the facility was tested for Covid-19, but the results haven’t come back. These poor residents are no longer allowed out of their apartments, can no longer eat with their friends, play cards, sing together, play bingo, go to the movie theater, or any of the other myriad things they love to do. I pray for the sake of these seniors that we can quickly get back to life as they knew it.
