Emotional tone: Negative

Gone too soon….

I am use to staying home, even during weekends (prior to covid 19). The quarantine part was not that difficult to adhere to. I know for a fact what has impacted me emotionally and psychologically the most…the social distancing, not able to go to church, visit family in New York, but most of all is hearing of close relatives and friends in New York City/New Jersey whom have lost a loved one. I have a very close friend who lost her husband and younger brother all in a month. It is just all too surreal… the massive amounts of lives gone all too soon. Those precious first responders, especially in major cities. All of this seems like a 9/11 tragedy repeating itself (one I survived), as a worldwide pandemic attack.

COVID-19 sucks

COVID-19 has impacted me mostly financially. I was laid off from my job as a travel coordinator. Since no one was traveling due to the scare of contracting the virus my company did not see fit to keep me. I have been struggling to apply for unemployment benefits and my case is still pending my pay stubs from 2018. Yes 2018. I just hope that my case would get resolved soon and I will at least have some income coming in making it easier for me to not be stressed.

Future not bright

Stressed about the future. America is not handling this well. If something worse happens I’m worried we’ll crumble.

#52 ‘she doesn’t Like Being Alone

In Georgia,I have had ten of my cousin’s transition as a result of the Corona Virus. She is very panicky about her Great-Granddaughter,Imani,going outside. She has become very over-protective of her loved ones And she doesn’t like being alone as noted by her Granddaughter.Although, I am not employed . She likes coming to my home daily and that is fine!.

Unidentified

I work in assisted living facility as a dining services manager. I had flu like symptoms but was forced to stay home for two weeks without pay because of the threat of coronavirus. I am still grappling the effects of not working for two weeks.

The corona virus has essentially ruined my senior year. It took away my opportunity to walk across the stage, attend my prom, and my senior trip. I also recently lost my job due to the corona virus as well.

the fear of life as we know it

The corona virus has made it difficult for myself and my family to stay calm simply because it’s changed the dynamic of life. My family members are older, which makes them more susceptible especially considering they have preexisting conditions. My great aunt, grandmother, mother and grandfather have all recently in some way fell ill. Although there are other forms of illness, the pandemic and lack of knowledge behind the coronavirus has instilled fear that any illness could be fatal. It makes my grandparents afraid to leave their homes, worry about their friends and family and it’s harder to find basic resources.
