Vulnerable: The community is resilient

My New Normal

This new normal has been somewhat difficult for me. I am a people person that always greeted everyone with a hug. I work with children and I always greeted them with a kiss and a big hug. When my children see me they come running with arms open wanting that hug and kiss. They don’t understand social distances. Having to learn how to use Zoom, Google Classroom and Google Meets has been a challenge. I have gracefully accepted my new normal.

Living with the New Normal

I am working from home, which is a benefit. My children are learning digitally, which means that I have to also teach them academically. For my husband it gas changed his day to day and how he does things and being mindful those who are around him. We have a new normal. Lastly, no real social gathering and meeting with friends.

#Dammit Man

Zuri and I were speaking to Shannon.(The man we have come to know as Dammit Man)As we sat and talked with him, he started to say non-sensible things to make us laugh, but he wouldn’t do a proper survey. A few days later, I got a phone call from my neighbor the news that he had died. She said that Dammit Man had spat on the tall blind man not the short one and he smacked him in the head with his cane. I refused to believe her, due to the fact that I had just seen him not to long ago. The more days went by the more I started to believe that what she said was true, but one morning as I began to walk to the YEC I seen him walk walking slower than normal. He told me how he seen god in the hospital and that the world was flat.

Virus (Story #658)

Coronavirus has impacted the whole entire world everything has been shut down for over two months things are starting to open up by quarantining need to take a more bigger effect in every community it is there are still cases are there and I feel like the government just need to make sure I stay on track of the cases and let everybody know I also feel as if the government is doing a pretty good job with the stem of this chat so how do I send it out and how people is gone for what the money we as a community and as a government need to work together to come up with better players and how to get over and beat this coronavirus

10 (Story #681)

I was forced to move out of my housing at my educational institution. I had to stay with friends that I met while in school, Alcorn State University, until I gathered enough money to afford a plane ticket back home.

The virus

Coronavirus an impact in my life amazingly yes cause a big outbreak on the world and causes everything on furloughs for about two months as things don’t open up quarantine I have been taking place in my community and which have been lied to but still maintain there is a large number of cases in my small community of matsuri Belglade Florida I believe that we should I come to get as a community to take some over to come up with better ideas of quarantining because obviously is not happening I truly believe that we have to take this coronavirus serious and try to find a weirdo how can we maneuver without contracting the virus

The New Regular

The coronavirus has extremely impacted my life. From the beginning, it changed how I, and the entire world, interact with one another in public and at home, but as things got more serious and the threat grew so did our lives. I had to move off campus, and was suddenly taking classes online, this made it so much harder to stay tuned into the lectures and participate. I lost my job temporarily for 2 months. I worked as a receptionist at my family’s salon, and with it closing my dad was also out of a job for those 2 months and it was really hard on him. By me being home, I picked up more duties around the house to help my mom who was fortunate enough to not lose her job such as helping my sister with her classwork and homework. Considering that no one in my family is a licensed teacher, some of the assignments and lessons were kind of hard to understand and teach. We started going to a lot of grocery giveaways, to assist our neighbors who were more at risk or didn’t have a car and were unable to go. I have not been able to see some of my family in months because they are at risk. Overall, this experience has affected my life is so many more ways than I could imagine.

Solution

Coronavirus has taken a toll of the whole entire world things are being shut down it kind of miss has been losing money government has been sending out stimulus chats I truly believe that we are in this war zone – dad is going down in history and what is being said I hope I make it to my family has been doing good quarantine thing has been going to right way I truly hope that in a couple months we all look outside and look at what has been in the past and how quarantine has been delivering us from catching the coronavirus this outbreak has been lasting for over 2 1/2 months and I truly believe that if you keep going to spread and then a government should have found a solution

Each other

If you could look at these last two months you could tell he been out rages run over coronavirus has been hitting hard and many people has been dying a lot of people has been in the hospital and a lot of people also recovered from corona I truly believe that this virus is a big impact and what do you learn from us has been about 2018 to 2020 has been crazy and I feel as if this virus is held his name I would like my community to reach out to each other about quarantine in quarantine in the right way because we get our slow down this virus get a hairline get a blessing in all protect each other
