I live in Delray Beach but I work in Boca Raton my job temporarily closed because of the Coronavirus pandemic. So I filed for unemployment its been 3 weeks now since I filed unemployment. Still no word from them. Still no stimulus check I check my bank account every morning. For a person who lives paycheck to paycheck how do you survive with no paycheck? This is not a choice this is just me trying to be the best person I can be. Ive worked hard my whole life and now the reality hits. And everything I spent a lifetime working for Im at risk of losing. Its only been 4 weeks since I last worked but I already feel the pressure. I wonder whats next what do I do next. Life was already a struggle before the Coronavirus. But the one thing I do know is that as long as God blesses me to wake up every morning I promise never to give up.
Hope: Fear
Stuck (Story #295)
This pandemic has changed the way I move about. It has, in a way affected my freedom. I still have a choice to move and go as I please but the chance of getting the virus is not one I want to take. Im a person that doesnt do much anyway but this situation has me doing nothing. I would truly like to move freely without the worry of getting sick from the coronavirus.
9 (Story #293)
As a single mother of 4 this virus have a big impact on my family and I’m sure that’s with everyone else as well, but with my children who have asthma it’s hard to tell them no they can’t go outside and play, or go to the store with me, with their learning disability they stuffing with their learning because I’m not specialized in that field, so I could only do what I can, but it’s frustrated when I can’t help them or can’t get in contact with their teacher’s right away, my job cut my hours but I’m grateful that I could still work when I can. I find myself getting more depress a lot because you don’t know what’s going to happen next. You go the store’s and can’t find what you looking for because everything is gone when you really need it the most.
A Hard 2020!
The lack of family interaction has been a major impact in my life. I have a 3 year old grandson and my stepdaughter is due with another grandson in July. For risk of infection, we can only facetime or talk through the windows. I also have a daughter who is graduating May 2nd from FSU, who had her heart set on walking across the stage, ut can’t.
Future not bright
Stressed about the future. America is not handling this well. If something worse happens I’m worried we’ll crumble.
Menace to society (Story #279)
At target, waiting for my grocery order to be put in my trunk. They have a great system. There is a huge sign saying Anyone going in the store must wear a mask. Person after person is entering the store including a woman with a baby in a cart from the parking lot. I asked the staff why they were allowed to do that and she said they couldn’t really enforce it and they are slammed and don’t have time anyway. We don’t know how to behave as a society, these people are so disrespectful to the essential workers in the store

Nobody has changed their ways.It will die down> Hopefully,we will come out of this alrightOur Leaders numbers are down,So America has to come back up!She will get food assistance from Helping Hands.
